Our deputy principals can be found in their respective offices in the Administration Block. Students should feel free to approach any of our deputy principals, regarding issues that may arise on an academic, social, financial or wellbeing matters.
Your wellbeing is important. If you feel supported you will be more resilient and thrive. The Learning and Support Team is a network of people who can help you with your learning and wellbeing needs at Callaghan's senior campus.
Mrs. Suzanne Rich
Mrs. Rich is the Head Teacher of our Learning and Support Team located in the Administration Block. She ensures that all students are given voice and listened to. Feel free to contact her for any personal, social or academic concerns.
Mr. Mark Thornton
The Careers Office is located in the Hive, our Study Centre. Book an appointment with the Careers team if you are concerned about your program of study, career goals, or ‘not sure where you’re headed or why you’re here’. Bookings are made electronically in the Hive. Parents can book an interview by calling our Careers Adviser.
Mrs. Stephanie Kaul
Mrs. Kaul coordinates adjustments for learning and disability provisions for all students who need support to access their education on the same basis as their peers. This includes identifying learning and support needs through testing, conversations with students, communication with parent/carers and liaising with teachers. Disability provisions are applied to all assessment situations including the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), when approved by NESA.
The student advisers are your first point of contact if you are experiencing problems at school. They interview students and will refer you to the relevant staff, if appropriate. Parents and carers concerned with any aspect of their student’s wellbeing should contact the student advisers, in the first instance.
