Why study a language?
Language study allows students to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems and explore the relationship between language and culture. Students engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of societies and reflect on their understanding of social interactions.
Who can study beginners languages courses?
Here at Callaghan College Jesmond we offer a number of beginner languages courses. Anyone who is interested in learning a foreign language and who has not studied the language for more than 100 hours, or is not a native speaker can study these courses. No experience is necessary!
