FRENCH BEGINNERS
Board Developed Course (ATAR) - 2 Units
This course is for senior secondary students who have little or no previous knowledge of French and have an interest in learning to use French for communication and learning about the cultures of French-speaking countries.
PRE-REQUISITES
This course is for students who have not studied French in Stage 5. Students are ineligible if they have studied French for more than 100 hours in Stages 4 or 5 or in a school setting outside of Australia.

HSC EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS
• Speaking Examination (approximately 5-6 minutes of conversation) 20%
• Listening and Written Examination 60%
UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS COURSE
Students who complete this course for the HSC may be admitted to the second year of French at University.
