Certificate III
This course is designed for students who wish to develop knowledge and skills to commence a career and be an effective employee in the business administration and support industry. The skills developed in this course are useful across a wide range of industry sectors and in daily life.
PRE-REQUISITES
There are no formal pre-requisites for this course.
The ability to touch type and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel would be an advantage.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Students study four mandatory focus areas (containing 8 associated units of competency) and a range of elective units of competency.
Mandatory focus areas are:
• Innovation and technology
• Safety and Wellbeing
• Sustainability
• Working in the business services industry and workplace
HSC EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS
The Higher School Certificate examination for Business Services is only available after completion of 240 indicative hours and will involve a written examination consisting of multiple-choice, short answers and extended response items.
UNIQUE FEATURES OF THIS COURSE
You must complete 240 indicative hours of course work and a minimum of 70 hours work placement.
HSC VET courses are competency-based. Students’ complete units of competency to achieve BSB30120 Certificate III in Business.
Attainment of the Certificate III can provide an ATAR equivalent.
